Blurb

What are blurbs?

Our blurbs are strings that describe a feature the same way an engineer would. They are intended to communicate with your user.

Example

  • Measure: "3 +0.2 -0.2",
  • Radius: "R4",
  • Thread: "M3x1.5"

Reasoning

Engineers from different regions/industries have different ways of annotating the same thing on technical drawings. Our AI understands most of these ways and generates a standard blurb following DIN406-11. This allows you to communicate consistently with your users.

For example, the image on the right shows multiple ways to define two internal Metric Threads. WERK24 generates one consistent blurb for all of them: 2xM8x20, meaning 2 Metric Thread holes of 8mm diameter and 20mm depth.

Be aware that the text that you are showing to your user might vary slightly from the drawing. This can however also be a good validity check.
